Terms of Service

Version 2026-10-11. These Terms govern use of TruWhos. By accepting them through a signed-in account, you agree to follow these rules.

1. Service

TruWhos provides account lookup, community reputation ratings, private reporting, moderator review, public history records and related privacy/appeal tools. A trust score is community-derived information and is not a guarantee that a person is safe, honest, fraudulent or otherwise trustworthy.

2. Accounts

Discord OAuth is used to verify control of a Discord account. You must not impersonate another person, bypass account restrictions, manipulate search limits or use automated means to abuse the service.

3. Ratings and reports

You may submit ratings and reports only in good faith. You must not fabricate events or evidence, coordinate brigades, use alternate accounts to manipulate reputation, publish doxxing, submit stolen credentials, or use TruWhos to harass or threaten another person.

4. Moderation

TruWhos may review, hide, reject, close or remove reports, ratings and history records when necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, correct inaccuracies, or comply with legal obligations. Serious substantiated cases may receive a temporary or permanent restriction on the TruWhos profile opt-out feature. Such restrictions are logged and can be appealed. They do not remove statutory privacy rights.

5. Appeals

Where the interface provides an appeal option, the affected signed-in account may request review of the relevant decision. Approving an appeal may reopen a report review or remove an active TruWhos opt-out restriction.

6. Availability and accuracy

TruWhos may be changed, suspended or unavailable at times. User-submitted information can be incomplete or inaccurate. Moderator-published history is intended to reflect reviewed material but is not a substitute for independent verification.

7. Suspension and termination

Access may be limited or terminated for abuse, manipulation, security threats, legal requirements, or material violations of these Terms.

8. Changes

Material updates may require signed-in users to accept a new Terms or Privacy Policy version before continuing to use account features.
